    Not so easy.

    First you have to map the file names to something interesting. Then
it's relatively straightforward matter to transfer them. Although even
then you've got network file share setup issues. The appropriate type of
shared filesystem may not be already setup.

    Something that I see as being potentially quite useful is a sort of
"iTunes" style app that serves as a manager for mobile devices like ipods.
This would allow you to build a iTunes-esque repository on some other box
and push the related files to the mobile devices. Mebbe even handle the
transcode step at that point.

    It would be more of like the Win32 MythPlayer, not something that
runs fullscreen and something that's written more with Win32 and OSX
in mind so that people could manage their files with whatever they
run on the desktop.

     Could also be another regular plugin or something that runs in
mythweb. A non-webbased control console could be useful too.
