[mythtv-users] 60Hz MPEG4 renders at 20Hz in internal player

     I've got a 1280x720p 59.94Hz ATSC broadcast I transcoded to 720x480p
59.94 Hz MPEG4. It plays fine in mplayer, but Myth's internal player
renders it at ~20Hz and gives boatloads of these in the log (with verbose

NVP: Video is 3.19838 frames behind audio (too slow), dropping frame to catch up.

Can the internal player not handle 60Hz MPEG-4?

Here's what I've found:

1. Orig 1280x720p 59.94Hz MPEG2 - Fine in Myth's internal player and mplayer
2. 720x480p 59.94 Hz MPEG4 - Steps at 20Hz in Myth's internal player
                                - Plays fine in mplayer
3. 720x480p 29.97 Hz MPEG4 - Fine in Myth's internal player and mplayer
