[mythtv-users] Manual transcode?

When you do a manual transcode of a recorded show MPEG to another MPEG file...

What's the proper way to replace the old one with the new so Myth is happy
with it (i.e. ensure it attaches to the pre-existing program data on the
show, seek tables rebuilt, etc.).

Just delete the old file, move in the new to the same name, and run
"mythcommflag --rebuild"?
