[mythtv-users] How to connect a FE to a remote BE

Thank you for your patience Ralf, I must have missed where you said run
as root even though I must have re-read it many times and even copy and
paste it a couple. I am sorry I will pay more attention.

I have returned the "skip-external-locking" to the my.cnf file

"Set --log to a log file and test if you see connects from your FE at
all"
I am sorry but where am I setting this.
