I used the following link to use yum to upgrade from F7 to F8:

In looking at your link, it is similar to the alternate method (does not
require editing any files).

On the couple of systems I use, my atrpms.repo has the version
hard-coded (Mythdora 4.0 and F7 custom install). So it will need to be
edited.
Also, I only have 32-bit versions. I have not tested either procedure
with x86_64.
