[mythtv-users] About to give up - Avermedia 771 - notsensitiveenough for UK DVB?

Thanks Ian.

When I googled the card I got the Wikipedia entry up. Was concerned that
it would be sod's law that I'd get one of the problematic cards, but
it's good to see that Hauppauge are replacing them free of charge.

Will probably go with one of these and see how I get on.

If you think it will make such a difference getting new cable (not I
have the problem of running it inside the wall!!) I'll go for that.

Kind regards,

I have an Avermedia 771 and a Hauppauge 500 in the same box, both work
fine. Regarding the 771, I would concur with the other suggestion to
check your aerial cable and make sure it's up to spec.

The T-500 is a good card. Make sure you read the wiki entry at
which has lots of useful info.
