Just wanted to share this with everyone....

I've been looking for a reasonably priced USB IR reciever for a while, and
came across some references for the xbox dvd kit on the lirc mailing list.
Support for this receiver has been built into the atiusb driver, which has
been checked into CVS in january (it's built with the current lirc version
at atrpms).  Anyway - it works great with RCA compatible codes, and it only
costs about $2.50 on amazon right now.  It's pretty easy to solder a usb
cable to it, or you can buy a cheap converter cable if you want.

anyway - just thought I'd share.
