I thought that this might be the situation. My problem is that when I
scan with mythtv no channels are picked up, even though the signal
strength appears to be very good. To get the TV signal to my computer I
have to extend the aerial lead by about 10 metres and I could be losing
signal along this length of coax. So I am looking for a process which
will enable me to find out whether it is a loss of signal or whether
there is something not quite right with the mythtv setup. What I wanted
to do was to see if I could find any channels using scan from dvb-utils
hence the reason for wanting details of local transmitter.

When I tried scan with the nearest transmitter I could find I got the
following:-

Perhaps someone, far more knowledgeable than me, would tell me what this
means and if it helps me to make my decision.
