[mythtv-users] Cannot watch LiveTV

I am running:

MythTV backend version 0.20.1-release (from SVN, Gentoo)
MythTV frontend version 0.20-svn20070122-0.0ubuntu6 (from a package, Ubuntu)

On the frontend, I can watch recorded programming fine but not LiveTV.
 I'm getting the following messages on the frontend:

I've been searching the list in vain.  Any suggestions on how to fix
or diagnose this?  Thanks for any help,
