Hi Joel,

Thanks for sharing your ideas!

I do have an amplifier that TW installed and had the same thought as you.
So I removed the amp but had the same problem. No better or worse. My TW
digital box is on the amp as well with no issues. 

The thing is that SD digital comes through clean. Since it's all sitting in
an MPEG2 transport the only difference between the two is the data rate of
the stream. i.e., The demodulation is clean. When I watch digital on the
server box SD works perfectly and HD gets a bit jerky. Given all this I
think it points to my system. I just need to locate the bottleneck. Hence
the need for analysis tools of some sort.
