[mythtv-users] Unable to initialize video on new box setup

 am trying to set up myth on a new box.  I am using a PVR-350 on Mandriva
2007 64 bit.  ivtv seems to be set up correctly, but I get unable to
initialize video when I try to view some programs inported from a
different database.  I also can't seem to get livetv to work.  I just get
a black screen for about 5 seconds and then the menu again.  Take note
that I am attempting to view myth on a standard monitor.  I don't want to
output to a tv via the PVR-350.  I have attached the output of my dmesg
pertinent to ivtv below.  Also note that I can do

cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg

but when I try to use mplayer to review the file I get
