Hi I have also got a G965 board with the video tearing
issue. The tearing is always at the same spot on the
screen (1/4 of the way down) so it seems like it DOES
sync the video update to retrace. Instead I think
either the timing is off or the screen drawing takes
to long.
I'm not sure if this is an X problem or a myth
problem, but I have noticed similar problems in Xine,
mplayer, vlc, etc.
