[mythtv-users] Root user mysql - accidental delete

Yep, I agree. I uninstalled mysql-server thinking it would start from
scratch but it didn't, root still wasn't added back??? what gives with
that?

Originally I thought I was editing as opposed to deleting...

# Deleting 'root'@'localhost' ...
DROP USER 'root'@ 'localhost';

I've tried to to log in without the grant tables and re-add the user
but since I'm logged in without the grant tables it won't let me?

mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables -u root &

CREATE USER 'root'@ 'localhost';
