After checking the permissions on the recordings folder and ensuring
they will allow the backend to write to it, increase your backend's
logging verbosity by adding the file,record options to your current
setting (important,general is the default).

Is there any kind of directory locking in operation that could deny
access whilst it is being accessed over the network?
