[mythtv-users] Turning TV on with PVR150 IR blaster

  Hi all. 
 
I would like to make the IR blaster turn my TV on when I press the power key 
on my Hauppauge remote. Does anyone have any idea how this type of thing 
could be accomplished?

For this to work you need a few things to happen.  First you need to install the lirc stuff for the PVR-150 blaster.  This is supplied by Mark over here:  http://www.blushingpenguin.com/mark/blog/?p=24

But for this to work your tv will need to be supplied to work with the windows version of the blaster firmware.  Here is a list of supported devices:  http://www.blushingpenguin.com/mark/lmilk/IRcodesets.html

I see no tv's listed in there, but I am willing to bet it still might work.  Because your tv might use a default, RC5 of similar protocol.  Basically you will know if it works, once you run the "send_power_new" script.
