[mythtv-users] help with HP-philip's remote please

I have an hp mce remote.
  My system, mythdora 4.0 at the moment, seems to correctly find it and load the drivers.
  I have run irrecord and it captures everything and seems quite happy.
  I have also run irw and it is also happy
  reporting 
  000000037ff07be1 00 Up mceusb
  when I press up on the remote.
  But for some reason the remote doesn't do anything in myth.
  The ir receiver flashes when I press buttons but nothing changes on mythfrontend.
  Is there something basic I am not understanding?
  my /etc/lircd.conf file seems to be the correct one.
