[mythtv-users] MYSQL not starting...

I'm running Ubuntu. I don't use selinux, I did check the permissions
on the .dmrc file and the correct manager is listed.

"If you open a root-shell ("sudo -s" or "su -") you can do "su - mysql" without
a paswoord."

I was able to login as root, su - mysql and then write to the log file.

Here are the permissions on the /var/log/mysql directory.

root at myth:/var/log# ls -al

This is again from the daemon log after I try to restart mysql, what
is "^G" in the path statement?
