[mythtv-users] Fire wire problems with SA3250

Hello all,

I'm a two week old Mythtv noobie but I've learned a lot in these two weeks
with playing around with Mythtv. I have everything (so far) working except
getting Mythtv to grab video (and hopefully change the channels) over fire
wire to a SA3250 (digital cable). I've had to rebuild my machine about 3 or
4 times since I started and now I have a solid grasp on what I'm doing.
Problem is that now getting no packets from the SA3250! In the past I was
able to run firewire_test over a peer to peer setup and I was getting a very
reliable connection (but no video) from the SA3250. Now I'm getting
absolutely nothing and I'm beginning to wonder if I'm going to be able to
get this thing to work.

Here's my myth backend log:

I've also been following the guides listed:

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/FireWire

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Firewire_Priming#SA3250HD_Primer

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MythTV_Firewire

I've tried all of the above priming scripts and nothing is working. The
frustrating thing is that at one point I was getting packets with
firewire_tester -p -n 0 -r 5 but now I'm getting absolutely nothing. I'm
running all of this on Ubuntu 7.04 with the latest version of Mythtv.

Any help (and I mean ANY) would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.
