Ok, so I am having some issues…obviously  I have a 150 MCE card
with an IR Blaster. I can get the remote to send commands and can see them
on irw. I have compiled the cvs version of lirc, because I could not get
your version to compile. I am running Fedora Core 6 [2.6.20-1.2944].
Should I try to compile the version you made for cecil? I have a Philips
STB on Surewest cable.

Output of dmesg | grep lirc
lirc_mceusb2: no version for "lirc_get_pdata" found: kernel tainted.
lirc_mceusb2: Philips eHome USB IR Transciever and Microsoft MCE 2005
Remote Control driver for LIRC $Revision: 1.28 $
lirc_mceusb2: Daniel Melander <lirc at rajidae.se>, Martin Blatter
<martin_a_blatter at yahoo.com>
lirc_dev: lirc_register_plugin: sample_rate: 0
lirc_mceusb2[3]: Topseed eHome Infrared Transceiver on usb1:3
usbcore: registered new interface driver lirc_mceusb2

Output of dmesg | grep ivtv

It is not loading the firmware that you made. How can I go about getting
it to load. Where does it need to go? Do I need to send a command to ivtv
to tell it to use a different firmware?

When I send a command to the irblaster with irsend it sends successfully
but It does not blink.

Any help would be great!!! Thanks.
