[mythtv-users] NVP: Timed out waiting for free video buffers

Have you confirmed that, when enabled, you have nvidia glx really
working?  Try running glxgears and check the frame rate it outputs.
(note that if you're using OpenGL vsync, it should stay right at about
whatever your vertical refresh is, e.g. 60fps).

Also, you didn't mention which nvidia driver version you're using.
The later drivers support an option in the xorg.conf "UseEvents",
which you should set to true.  I don't know if this matters based on
card series (5200 vs. 6100), but I know it's only supported in later
driver versions and could be making the difference for the 6100.

Also, it might help to post your xorg.conf file.

These are all things I checked before I figured out I was getting the
same message due to mysql performance issues (disabling GLX made no
difference for me, so it's back on with my 6150 and no problems).
