Indeed, sounds very promising for mid-end HD requirements.  How well
does it actually work?

Heh heh heh.  I hope this doesn't come across as offensive to anyone.
But I think at the very least, there should be an option to not have a
remote with your device (and maybe knock off 30 bucks or so of the
price).  But to take it further,  I think that information on setting
up the device with a decent universal (Harmony maybe?) should be
included.  I have about 15 devices (all around my house, not in 1
room..) and if I used the 15 remotes that came with each device, I'd
never be able to enjoy mind numbing entertainment.  I recently
purchased a Harmony 659, and love it!  So, having a good remote seems
extremely... pointless to me when deciding the value of a device.
