[mythtv-users] H.264 and cut points

Being able to record and watch h.264 recordings (720p) with the
CoreAVC-patch I wondered how we could cut beginning (pre-roll) and end
(post-roll) from these files. Mythtranscode is only able to transcode
or cut mpeg2-files, isn't it? Is this somehow possible with nuvexport
or another CLI tool in Linux, so I could set up a user job somehow? If
it is not possible with mythtranscode, would it be difficult to
integrate this functionality?
