[mythtv-users] Anyone have recent stuttering audio/video issues with XvMC on some channels?

I have a strange problem where some channels have started to really
stutter audio/video?

Some channels are dreadful and totally unwatchable but other channels
could be classed as just about okay and others in the middle.

If I change the audio track to a different channel (usually an audio
description of what is happenning on screen) and the audio/video goes
fine but as soon as I turn the proper audio back it goes all stuttery
again.

It seems to point to some sudden problem playing the main audio which
in turn is making the audio stutter and therefore the video?

I have tried all the hints on the Wiki for XvMC (none help) but as
some channels are worse than others and the sudden onset it seems to
point to some other problem apart from XvMC.

Does anyone know what could be wrong?
