This is true only if you want the whole lot in one bid directory.
You can symlink from /myth/video to other drives.  I guess when you
are ripping from DVD it is set up to put files in one place (haven't
done it) but if you are ripping a lot sorting into directories is
probably a good idea after rip has finished.

Remember the myth video browser handles subdirectories quite well now.

BTW is it easy to get myth to rip DVD to xvid.
