Jos,
My mobo is a Shuttle AI61, which has the following chipsets : AMD-751
(Irongate, North Bridge)
AMD-756 (South Bridge). So I guess I don't have the Via chipset problem.
I was wondering if perhaps the PCI bus was getting "overloaded", as I
currenlty have the following items
all on PCI: Ethernet card, sound card, tv tuner card, graphics card, and
also a USB2.0 card. I was thinking that I could remove the USB2.0
PCI card, but the rest of the hardware is all needed for my system. Do
you think that with all of the other items on my PCI bus, it is too much
traffic to handle?
Also, did you have to do a lot of mythtv (or linux) tweaking of various
settings to get your system to work as described? What were you running
for a mythtv-distro? I have been trying Knoppmyth, but I may give
MythDora a try to see if it is any better.
One last question, where is the deinterlacing setting? Is that in the
myth settings for the tv-tuner card or is it in the x-org config for the
video card?
Thanks!!
Brad
