It was a cinch (at least I was able to do it by blindly following the
howto).  The main problem with LVM comes when one of the drives fails
(or you want to remove it) where I understand that bit of of skill
and/or luck is required to recover any data from the remaining
drive(s).

However you may not need to worry about LVM.  When mythtv 0.21 arrives
it supports multiple partitions for recordings.  You just add a
another drive and create a second recording location in mythtv-setup.
I'm running SVN at the moment just to try and do that (once I get
another drive).
