Actually, I concur, Majority of my DVDs are Ripped to the HD cos it's
easier to search for a title already on the HD rather than to rummage
through the closet for that one specific title. Besides, this gives me a
reason to be lazy.

BTW, curious as to what are the "more efficient" file formats.

Most of mine are ripped into DivX/Xvid Format but lately, I've been
trying out RMVB (from real media) as a movie ripped to Xvid is
~700-800MB vs RMVB ~300 or less at the same bitrate/resolution. The only
downside to it is, there's no Hardware Standalone players capable of
playing it back. 

The other alternative is MP4 which I've tried but hasn't been too
successful with. (YET)
