[mythtv-users] Opinions on PVR-350 Support + PVR-350 Hardware Hacking....

Nick,

Yes actually I've build up an RGB to SCART lead for use with my Nividia 5200
(free from Freecycle).
Great picture but not without it's problems e.g. having to use bob
deinterlace all the time means that my CPU is taxed, and
LiveTV is not useable because of this.
I'd also like to be able to play recordings without worrying that the CPU
usage will disrupt a recording.

I also own a MediaMVP from a previous PVR incarnation, this outputs all 3
forms (Composite,SVIDEO and RGB) simultaneously.
The picture is brilliant, there are no CPU worries but the interface is
lacking compared to the full Myth frontend (don't get me wrong it's still
good for playback).

I'm working on the theory that the 350 and MVP probably share the same
output characteristics, plus the reduced CPU load, but the 350 can in theory
also give the full Myth experience. (Also the MVP can then go in the
bedroom...)

Cheers

Steve
