Thanks for the info.

Getting sound to the graphics card is possible if the mobo has a free 
audio header  for but I am completely unfamiliar with the graphics cards 
that support this or their sound quality.  Here is the only example I 
can find.

As it is not passively cooled it is probably not a good choice.
