Encrypted channels are just that, encrypted. Any files you move off of the
Tivo will not be playable anywhere else because they're encrypted. I record
all of the broadcast channels in HD from Comcast with QAM tuners. Beyond
that your only choice is use the Tivo or a cable company provided DVR.
