For archiving, I've only ever used Verbatim DataLifePlus 8x/16x DVD+R
(and DVD-RAM for backup) media, normally in spindles of 100, or 25 if
the larger packs are unavailable. No problems to report with my Liteon
readers/writers. I also frequently write to 16x discs at 8x.
