In essence, you can't. All you can do is make sure that your computer has
the correct time (pretty easy with ntp.) Broadcasters sometimes start a
show a little early or late (in some parts of the world, it's even worse
than that!) You can use the options for starting the recording early to make
sure you get the beginning of your shows. BTW, none of this has anything to
do with archiving to DVD.
