I'm pretty certain that my local stations are transmitting programming
with commmercials in different formats.  The only thing staying constant
is the frame resolution (1080 or 720).  The frame rates seem to change,
and for 1080 channels it's only interlaced at 1080i60 and not at 1080p24
(although I don't know of any specific case of my having encountered
1080p30, it may be out there).
