Brian,

Thanks for the thoughts.  This may sound odd but it will help me get  
a better handle on things.  Let's say you weren't interested in the  
PVR functions of MythTV, so a large hard drive of the ability to  
pause, record, fast forward tv wasn't a consideration.  If I just  
wanted a box that would stream the TV through it but allow me to do  
other MythTV functions, such as develop plugins or use the web  
browser, does that change the cost picture?
