[mythtv-users] spdif 24bit PCM from DVD?

I tried to play a dvd of music with a 24bit pcm audio track and all i
got was garbage coming out of the speakers. my spdif works properly
with AC3 and the audio from my ivtv and firewire recordings. I'm
wondering if anyone else has run into this problem? and if theres a
way to fix it?

this board has the nvidia CK804 AC'97 controller.
