Here is the first version of the plugin:

I have only tried it on the fixes branch, so I don't expect it to work on trunk.

Unpack it under a checkout of mythplugins to pick up the installation path and
compiler flags etc.

I am on vacation the next four weeks, so I probably won't be doing much coding
then.  Feel free to add/change anything you like, but playlist support would be
nice.  The playlist GUI is already there (press 3), it's just the proper calls
to libmpd that are missing.  Hopefully you will find it working quite well even
without the playlist editing.
