Er, I've compiled the kernel interface for every version of the nVidia
driver I've ever used. I didn't even know there were packaged versions
until a few months ago. I'm pretty sure you can install the nVidia
drivers on gentoo... http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/nvidia-guide.xml
