[mythtv-users] problems with lirc and mythtv

also if you're a bit techy, try executing your lirc programs with strace.

so
strace lircd

then in another window
strace lircmd

most of the output (at least for me) is not really readale, however you can
trawl thru it looking for obvious things like error messages and the  like.
