[mythtv-users] questions re Component Out with Nvidia 6150

I'm considering an upgrade to my aging Duron HDTV system and I was
looking at this board:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131014 with an
integrated GeForce 6150 and Component Out. Currently I'm using a 5200
with a VGA->Component adaptor. Unfortunately the adaptor's switches
have to be set by hand for different resolutions so I have everything
being scaled to 1280p and then getting scaled again by my native 1080i
set (the system being too slow for 1080i resolutions).

My questions:
Is the component output on the 6150 able to be changed on-the-fly to
match the source resolution like VGA is? If it is, can I use the
in-built tv modelines or would I need to define the modelines myself?
Would I be better off running at my tv's native resolution and letting
myth scale it up? Is the quality better or worse than VGA->Component
(running at my tv's native resolution and letting myth scale it)?

Any help or hints at all are welcome. Thanks in advance!
