[mythtv-users] Setup for German TV:Mythfilldatabase howto?

Hello,

I have setup mythtv using the debian packages available at 
debian.multimedia.org. Since I'm in Germany, I will have to do 
a "mythfilldatabase --manual", but am struggling with how to do this 
properly ... I have created a channels.conf using first w_scan and then scan 
on the output of that and have imported that into mythtv. I am failing, 
however,  to comprehend how to tell mythtv which of these channel is 
associated with which entry in the database (as defined after grabbing with 
mythfilldatabase --manual). Howtos on the issue seem outdated and I would 
greatly appreciate if anyone could describe quickly the proper steps to a 
working setup using German (cable)television.
