Sorry, fumble fingers hit the wrong key...

I have 2 PVR-250's and one PVR-150, in that order they get set with this:

/usr/local/bin/ivtvctl -d /dev/video0 -y volume=58950
/usr/local/bin/ivtvctl -d /dev/video1 -y volume=58950
/usr/local/bin/ivtvctl -d /dev/video2 -y volume=65024

That is with IVTV 0.4.x, newer/older versions may differ.
