[mythtv-users] Problems with PVR500/PVR350 and Mythsetup

Slightly off-topic but...

I've got the same exact setup with the exception I used MythDora as my
distro. The problem I have is with /dev/video2 coming off the PVR500.
I'm bringing in a DVD/VHS player via the composite input (daughter card
on PVR500) but I can't get it to "play." If I plug cable into the
DVD/VHS player I can watch live TV but only on channel 3 in my case. I
can't switch channels either on the DVD/VHS nor on the MythTV box.

Question: is there some notes on ways to connect in an external DVD/VHS
"type" device and play recorded content?

Note: using MythDora I get the same error when I exit setup:
 >>

I have assigned the starting channel on card #0 to channel 2...

<<

I ignore the error and exist out. Everything with /dev/video0 and
/dev/video1 works just fine.

I guess I'm looking for more detailed info on using the Happauge cards
within Myth. Does that exist out there somewhere?

Thanks all,

Owen
