Except for a quick look at the weather channel and the news headlines,
my wife and I never watch live TV. The mythbox records 2 to 4 hours of
stuff on any given night, but we watch something which was recorded a
few weeks ago.

Watching TV on the mythbox is more like watching a video-tape or DVD.
There are no commercials and you get to choose what you want to watch.
And if what you have recorded turns out to be a repeat, it is a 2 second
job to punch 'delete' and then choose another program.

And 'one-hour' shows take 42 minutes of real time here in North
America...the other 18 minutes are commercials which we NEVER see!
