I used the instructions at the URL you mentioned and I was able to test 
and run the Hello plug-in without a problem. Make sure that you are 
running Myth entirely from SVN so you don't have any weird compiling 
issues. I was also able to develop and test my plug-in based from the 
Hello example without a problem... of course I'm still working on the 
development of the real plug-in, but as of last week the Hello plug-in 
instructions were working fine, for me at least.
