I agree, you will notice that I am using it, but nothing is perfect.
My Myth box is running a MuthDora installation, as I consider that an
"appliance" and just wanted to get it going ASAP. When I first
started putting that box together I of course tried Gentoo but I
happened to catch things as various components like the kernel, IVTV,
LIRC and other were in so much flux that getting a compatible mix was
problematic. The Mythdora install just worked right off so I could
happily go back to it.
The right tool for the right job, for things like email and the like
I use a Mac, mainly because of the beautiful display (with the
recently-repaired power supply), but the heavy chores like video
editing are a Gentoo box's assignment (Cinelerra).
