Well it's certainly better than suggesting they start out with Gentoo  
I guess, but the truth is anyone trying MythTV as their first  
exposure to Linux is in for a rough ride, or a lot of fun, depending  
on what they really want.

The worst thing you can do to a Windows Weenie is hand him KnoppMyth  
or MythDora and tell him it's "easy" to install. A lot of these  
people could be handed a perfectly installed and working Myth system  
needing only configuration and would not be able to get it going. A  
lot of people get stumped by a simple question like "NTSC or PAL?".

Unless, of course, they do something unheard of: Read the Docs.
