[mythtv-users] stutterning video

Hi guys, Ive been banging around with myth for a week solid (Annual leave)
and whilst the installation seems to be flawless there are significant
issues with video that I cant seem to beat.

Mainly I get extremely bad chopping or stuttering video either recorded or
live. If I reboot both the backend and the frontend This goes away until i
change channel and then Im back to choppy video. This does not seem to be
rectified with a myth restart, it seems to be a full reboot.

The Backend system is:
os:   Opensuse 10.2
Myth: 0.20 rpms from pacman
CPU:  amd x2 3800+
Men:  4g ram
Disk: 640GB sata media on md/lvm (system is on separate ide drive)

Frontend system simmilar except 3800 AMD is not x2
and only 3g ram

DViCO FusionHDTV DVB-T Plus

Ive looked at the following

1. interrupts are fine
2. transfer rates to disk is fine. Ive tried different disks
3. system usage (according to top) is bugger all when viewing live tv at
around 91-95 % idle
4. Signal strength 75 - 80%
5. did another run and got different responses. reasonable picture on two
out of three channels then finally changed to last channel and choppy
video started,
Ive included output from frontend logs as well as backend

As stated earlier this seems to be happening in both livetv and reccord modes

Ive started x on the backend to check and it also preforms badly. Im at a
complete loss but I suspect it is not video related and it whilst it looks
like it could be signal related when it does work the signal is the same.

any help would be great, just let me know what other info you need
