I think this may have messed me up.  ./configure output stated that DVB 
would be included, and even showed the right directory, but apparently 
didn't build it.

I reconfigured with --enable-dvd and --dvb-path=/usr/include and it all 
seems to be getting together.  More to come, I'm sure.
