When I got my first 'real' computer in July 1993 (i486SX-25), RAM was
30GBP for a 1MB SIMM and a 130MB hard drive was 115GBP - this is from
the original advert. I remember the old gem of never quite knowing how
much memory was going to cost from week to week - from seeing the
advert to placing the order it went up 30%.
