I use the link option so I can watch 1080i content through Xine since
I cant reliably get XvMC accelerated output for my chipset through the
internal player (I record the 1080i channnels in a recording group and
don't show it by default in recorded programs). And it also works well
for providing content to non-myth network media players via samba or
simple directory list generated web pages.

I need to get around to help with the fix for my chipset
